Prepare yourself to discover an incredible castle; Vaux le Vicomte. Located one hour from Paris, this classical architectural masterpiece inspired Louis XIV to imagine and build the Palace of Versailles. Built in the middle of the XVII century, the domain of Vaux le Vicomte Castle is the fruit of the collaboration of three prestigious and talented artists: the Landscape Gardener Andre le Nôtre, the Painter-Decorator Charles le Brun and the Architect Louis le Vau, all reunited by Nicolas Fouquet, Finance Superintendant of the Sun King, Nicolas Fouquet, a powerful Court Financier to Louis XIV, rendered the King so jealous when he saw his castle, that it persuaded him to decide to build Versailles in order to have a castle “at least as beautiful”. Vaux-le-Vicomte’s continuing fame is due to André Le Nôtre’s stunning gardens, some of the finest in the Ile-de-France region.

Your dinner (2 glasses of wine included), will be served at the restaurant “Les Charmilles” (Starter, Main Course, Dessert, Wine, Mineral Water and Coffee) in the park opposite the Castle.

As the sun is going down, you will visit the Castle (audio-guides included), discover the private apartments of Nicolas Fouquet, the formal reception halls as well as the castle’s main kitchen and vaulted cellars, not forgetting the gardens lit by 2000 candles. This exceptional experience will be made even more special, classical music being diffused in a part of the gardens.

Once you have finished your Royal Dinner, your "in-house" Driver-Guide will be waiting for you, driving you back safely to your hotel, or apartment.
